SAFETY ENGINEER SERVICES
1. Who is required to have Safety Enginneer?
According to the Health and safety Codex N. 3850/2010 all businesses that employ even one (1) employer the employee should hire a Safety Enginneer.
2. Businesses categorization?
Businesses are divided based on their risk into three categories,
The A (high risk)
the B (medium risk)
the C (low risk)
Safety Enginneer Main Tasks are:
a) give advise on design, planning, construction and maintenance of facilities, introduction of new production processes, supply and equipment, selecting and monitoring the effectiveness of personal protective equipment and configuration and arrangement of places and working environment and general organization of the production process.
b) verify the security of installations and technical resources before their operation and production processes and working methods before applying them and oversee the implementation of health and safety measures at work and accident prevention, informing relevant heads of departments or business address.
c) regularly inspects the jobs in terms of health and safety at work, reports to the employer.
d) oversees the proper use of personal protective equipment.
e) investigatee the causes of accidents, analyzes survey results, evaluates and recommends measures to prevent accidents.
f) to supervise the execution of exercises and fire alarm and readiness to deal with accidents and crisis.
g) Safety Enginneer provides safety hints and tips, written or oral.
h) The Safety Enginneer’s instructions are registered in a special book, which is inspected by the State labor inspectorate and the employer is obliged to take actions of the signed instructions recorded in this book.
